GAUNT & SON LTD LONDON, measuring 60. 4 mm (w) x 75. 2 mm (h), both lugs intact, very fine. Footnote: The Algonquin Regiment originated on July 1, 1900 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario as the 97th Regiment of Rifles. Sub units were located in Thessalon, Sudbury and Sturgeon Falls. It was re designated on June 1, 1903 as the 97th Regiment (Algonquin Rifles); re designated on May 1, 1920 as The
